The Committee shall establish and carry out its own programme of activities, in accordance with the aims and activities of ICOMOS. It shall implement the decisions of the ICOMOS General Assembly and the programmes and instructions given by the ICOMOS Board and take local needs into account. Generally, it shall serve as a forum for discussion and for the exchange of information, with a view to linking public authorities, institutions, professionals, local authorities and individuals interested in cultural heritage conservation.
